New edition of the commentary on the Zurich Municipalities Act
The 2nd edition of the commentary on the Zurich Municipalities Act edited by Tobias Jaag, Vittorio Jenni and Markus Rüssli will be published in June 2025. The commentary discusses the provisions of the Municipalities Act and the Political Rights Act that deal with the local governments. It takes into account the relevant regulations and decrees passed since the Act came into force as well as the relevant decisions of the authorities and courts.
The commentary is a joint effort by 28 authors from the fields of municipal law practice and academia in collaboration with several associations as the Association of Zurich Municipal and Administrative Experts (VZGV). It is aimed at the authorities and administrations of the municipalities and the canton of Zurich, court members, lawyers and citizens.
